Karim Simplis, CFA, is the Director of Private Markets at Dynasty Financial Partners, where he helps lead the firm’s private markets platform as adoption of these strategies continues to grow within the advisor community.
Karim is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience and deep expertise in private markets. He joined Dynasty from Franklin Templeton where he worked for over a decade and held various leadership roles spanning strategy, research and product development within the alternatives group. Prior to Franklin Templeton, he was Vice President at Wilshire Associates, an Equity Analyst at First Q Capital, Private Equity Analyst at JLL Partners, and an Investment Banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch.
Karim earned his MBA from Stanford University, where he was a Soros Fellow and Toigo Fellow. He received his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz, graduating as a UC Regents Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa, and with highest honors in Economics/Business Management. A strong advocate of financial literacy, Karim enjoys traveling, staying active and spending time with his Australian Shephard, Mabel.
